Although a bird's nest cannot be traded, a crushed nest is tradeable.

Adding this would be extremely good in getting more nests in the game.

Also I think the chances should be a little bigger on obtaining a bird's nest since I've only gotten about 2 between 4,000 logs.

I have only gotten 1 bird's nest from 1-85 woodcutting. I agree that the frequency of the bird's nest random event should be increased.

I recall reading a pm from a Mod a few months ago regarding bird's nests and their rarity.
When woodcutting, you can get the following randoms:

• Broken Axe
• Bird's Nest
• Freaky Forester
• Evil Chicken
• Genie

 Random events are rare, and the chance that the random event is going to be the bird's nest random event is even rarer.

Yes but I'm sure they can set the random events to certain rarities so the nests are more common than extremely rare.

Not to burst your bubble or anything but we do have Gardener Wyson in the game, which makes birds nest lower priority than mole probably.

Wondering if birds nests have a fair drop rate. I found this forum post from 2006 (https://forum.tip.it/topic/80268-bird-nest-drop-rates/) that makes it seem like they drop way more often in 2006 rs than they do in rr. It seems right now that its something like 1/500 magic logs or possibly more. I cut 2500 magic logs today and found 3 nests. It should be much much more than that in my opinion. I may have missed one or 2 but I was watching most of the time that I was cutting. I just want it looked into I think if it is 1/500 chance it should be boosted up to 1/250.


This is all just my opinion. I would really like to hear from other players on if you think there should be a higher drop rate on nests from trees. Thanks for reading my post.
