only way I can try to explain it is

vote 2 times - eligible for an xp lamp worth 2.5k

vote 4 times - eligible for 2 xp lamps worth 2.5k

vote 10 times eligible for 2 xp lamps worth 5k

Not necessarily those numbers but something along those lines

Prayer although current players may not like it, the only way to truely get votes is to provide some sort of in-game benefit, it sucks but it's true.

Well not quite. Most remakes\old school servers I've played don't give out in-game bonuses yet they've managed to create a fairly large playerbase.

Look at 2006Scape & PRS06 for example. They both sucked on the actual game, but their advertising was extraordinary; let alone none came looking for in-game bonuses, just a remake to play.

The only ones that got a huge playerbase all got the playerbase from the one that started it all which is 2006redone. One server did manage to get a huge playerbase, but all the ones after that just posted on each others website after their death saying "join us! We won't die!"

If we must reward players for voting, at least have it be something cosmetic, such as what is seen in RS3, mainly custom animation for emotes or other possible animation tweaks.  As much as voting isn't monetary exchange, doing service for in-game reward is still one virtual asset to another. Do in-game rewards as you please, but just be careful what you choose.

We would never give players in-game items that would give them an advantage over another player.

But wouldn't extra exp count for an advantage over another player?
