10x experience rate?? Really??

title says it all why is there a 10x experience rate in a supposed "remake"?

They set it to that for beta testing, so it's easier for players to train levels and find more bugs.

Even when it is released its still going to be 2.5x quicker isn't it?

We talked about that but we decided that the xp rate should be set at 10x that of RuneScape's for the duration of the Beta as we don't want you guys to spend all day to gain a few levels, plus, you still feel the experience, just at a faster rate. After the release, we talked about doing either 2.5x or 3x since everyone will be starting over. Also, a 1x xp rate takes too long and discourages players from actually playing the game.

We'll prob have a poll on what you guys think the xp rate will be the closer we get to releasing the server.
We'll prob offer 1x 1.5x 2x 2.5x or 3x.

I personally said 3x.

It's not going to turn away players if content is rich and bugs are minimal. What will matter to players is the stable server that brings back memories.

WorldScape Blitz was one of the most stable servers in existence. But people bitched about the slow xp rates and quit playing. And those XP rates were like 7.5x RuneScape or something like that. While you may get some good players who actually care about the core of how the server is built and its stability, most are just going to be lazy people who care about leveling up faster.

Although I do understand that this is supposed to be a re-make of RuneScape, and hopefully anyone who would play this would understand that as well, but if you throw in a slightly faster XP rate, I doubt many people will complain. You'll also have the people who will say "if it's the same xp rate as runescape i'll just play runescape derr I'm stupid". I don't know, people can be really dumb.

People would rather get a 99 on Runescape, Mainly because the money reason.
