Yeah, that's why I didn't go through the learning curve.  Reading at my forums though, many are figuring this out, but they are long time programmers.  And so much of what they say, is way over my head.

In most distributions (and especially Arch) you can practically use common sense (you don't even need to know shell or the command line; you just have to not be afraid of using it) and a search engine to get your way through most of every technical issue you come across. I don't see how Fedora is bad (well yeah, GNOME 3 sucks) or difficult to use (and difficulty is relative anyway). And decency != easiness.
