Newest thoughts by me: I think all that is happening now is continued support on the petition and waiting for the Q&A session on the 20th of February.
And I really hope Jagex does 2006-2007 instead of just pre eoc 2012.

So what are your thoughts on this?

This is of course only if you still follow RuneScape/like it/play it, thus this thread being in General Discussion, if you think RuneScape is dead (which it is), then just don't post about it, try posting only thoughts.

Do you think Jagex will take action quickly for once in their career? Or do you think it is going to take them 4 years again to do it like what happened with free trade and wilderness?
Or will they cease to do anything at all?

No one really knows what we are 100% going for (2006 server, pre-eoc 2012/2011/2010/2009 server, etc.)

Thanks for this thread! I'm really curious to Jagex's take on all the support for these older servers/interest in old Runescape in general. My thoughts are that if Jagex really cared about their community/long term players, they wouldn't just push this whole thing under the rug.

So Wreck3d is confident that it will happen, I'm just worried about what time period it will be, and also that extremely small chance that it won't happen, but after everything, Jagex did not respond no, they just asked for feedback on the subject.

What could stop them is their idiotic view of thinking they are just "downgrading" their game to what it used to be.

I hope Jagex does satisfy its customers with an epic old school runescape server. So Wreck3d has really led the way for us on this one, I don't want to see it end on the 20th...

Yeah recently Jagex has been known to be extremely self confident with their updates, which is why Mod Mark saying that the EOC was rushed and not ready surprised me a lot. I don't think they can avoid the massive support/push for this. If they do, they're the worst company of all time.

Honestly, they do need to bring back a 2006 server, it would reap profits for them. No downsides. Everything old is coming back big. From music, to fashing, why not bring back 2006 runescape? As I type this Beverly hills is playing. Gotta love the elementary and middle school days.

Edit: I actually remember back in 7th grade, which was around 2006 time. I would sneak on late at night to get extra time, plus I could sneak in a few pinches of Cope Whiskey or Hickory. I would love to play 2006rs with a big hammer in now that I'm almost 19.

I signed the petition a while back, I'm wondering mostly how exactly Jagex will ruin the big 2006 server plan. I'm sure they'll ruin this all in some way.
