Just Started Help Me!
« on: February 07, 2013, 01:13:33 am »
Ok so I just started and I haven't run into any other players and I would just like someone to teach me about this remake.  I can't seem to do quests and because I haven't seen anyone, I don't know how to get items.  Please add me in game. Unstopabull

Mining and Smithing is the best way to make money. Most skills work except herblore, runecrafting, agility and slayer. Its P2P by default.

Write "::players" (without the " ") in the game and you will see players who are online. I'm sure most of them will help you!

I don't understand how people say smithing is a good way to make money. It's horrible for money. Maybe if there was a market for throwing knives but there isn't yet. You make way more profit for selling your ores than smithing them.

If you are planning on doing combat start with chickens. Fletchers will buy your feathers 10-15gp each. With 10k you can buy full mithril from shops (Plate varrock, legs Al-Kharid, Mith scimitar Al-Kharid / Addy long Varrock, Full helm Barbarian Village, Shield from Falador)

After chickens you can go to cows. Cowhides are decent money too. Going from 100gp each and even higher. After you get about 30 in all combat stats you can go to Hill Giants. Hillies drop herbs which can be sold for profit.

Mining and woodcutting are good sources of money. Fishing is currently worthless. Thieving seeds from stall in Draynor is good money.

Have you tried smithing for profit after shop formula?

Before you could sell mith shorts making 845gp per mithril bar. If you buy coal 150gp each you are practically making no profit. Now after shop formula you will get ~60% of what you used to get.

If you have more sophisticated way of making money with smithing I'm all ears. :D
