the band America wrote the song "Horse with No Name" because the man traveled through New Mexico, the place i reside.

sounds like a reference to "The Brave Cowboy" by Edward Abby thats set in early 20th century New Mexico between the Santa Fe and Albuquerque Rio Grande Valley
