I think if we hold it off for big updates or holidays instead of the community we have rn.. yes were starting to get the gears turning but wait for when people take notice and we have a big community
So do you want to do it when the community is still small or after it has grown?
I think it would be best to hold it until the community has grown. Having a double exp event as soon as the first update comes out whilst only having us few veteran players will only benefit the bunch who want to grind levels and get ahead of the game. Nobody would grind the same exact skill together during double exp. It's just not so much a community gathering event, but rather a personal gain kind of thing. Obviously it could be argued that double exp would attract old players to come back, but I don't think the majority of players would come back just because there's double exp on a underpopulated server, let's be real here. However I do believe there should be some sort of mini community event to thank everyone for sticking around for so long, but I don't think double exp is the right way to do it.
Also I completely agree with Charles and wirt, I don't think we should get rewards just because development has begun again, we should focus on growing the community instead of always rewarding the little one we have, even though we're all basically a little RuneRebels family now.
As Double exp is the past has been given to us due to denied access of service, i think we shouldn't get double exp just for development starting up again.
If we do reach milestones in server progression we could celebrate.

Although this is just my opinion and I think a double exp event should be saved for later, if it does happen then I wouldn't really care.
