I haven't watched much anime in years but I started watching Zatch Bell again lately.

Episode 105-150 is subbed though because Viz Studio stopped dubbing unfortunately.

Welcome to the NHK (I haven't seen this myself, but many people will vouch for it).

I think these are all great gateway anime, and will give you an idea of where your preferences and passions may lie in terms of genre and story-telling style within the medium.

Hmm...The Last Animes I've watched were Zatchbell and/or Avatar: Last Airbender. However, that was 2 years ago. I've decided that anime wasn't my thing since then.

Currently Attack on Titan and Sword art online are trending. I like some of the new releases like Log Horizon quite a bit though. Magi Season 2 is also in progress!
