This little feud is getting old...
We thought so too, PRS06 were acting like they were the ones trying to stop the whole rivalry and angst yet they rip us to shreds with a 20GBP/s botnet and SQL Inject our highscores. Not really the angels they were appearing to be to the general public.

Bulking time! Trying to bulk up another 11lbs, my body's hating me right now :(. Idk if anyone else besides Frell will actually know what that means but yeah

@Pinkamena: Lol at the guy in the bottom right of the first picture.

by the sounds of it, you must be new to lifting. Clean bulk, don't dirty bulk. I made that mistake my first time around and I regret it horribly. Aim for 0.2-0.5 pounds per week, MAX. There is no point to gaining fat, you barely, if it all, gain muscle faster bulking dirty.

Ill probably post a picture soon, the only pictures I have are at partys and I'm not comfortable posting pictures of my friends on the internet, im cropping people out atm.
I've had quite a few people say the same to me but I've also had people tell me to continue my own way, I've actually been lifting for a good couple years now. I'm a muay thai boxer and mixed martial artist and I've been at that for most of my teenage life. I only started really lifting a few years back just out of pure boredom.

This explanation is outdated so I'll provide an up to date one. After the first hosting company removed us from their hosting we had to find a new vps. We  purchased one with Cisco DDoS protection, after transferring all of our files we then put it back online. We were online for a whole 10 minutes before the DDoSer got hold of our new vps IP address and hit us hard again. The Cisco DDoS protection solved absolutely nothing and his botnet ripped straight through it and we were down again. It became apparent to us that we would have to take extreme measures to cut the DDoSer out and keep our server online. This is pricey, we'd need a high-end top-of-the-range dedicated server to withstand this and we just don't have that kind of money at the minute. I gathered together Frell, Kevin and Ryan and we started asking all of our contacts in the different fields we've been in for any wind of what was happening, we managed to trace the DDoSer to a certain IRC network who was at the control of two developers of PRS06. Ollie(KO9) tried to plead like he had no involvement in this but we have reason to believe that from his past he was actually at the epicenter of all the goings on. We're now trying to get our DDoS protected VPS back online at the minute and are hoping to have it back online within 24 hours. We'll try to keep you guys updated, keep checking back here.

Suggestions, Compliments, And Questions / Re: Xp Rate?
« on: January 25, 2013, 08:42:29 am »
I think x2 is the best XP rate we can have. When I was making my remake (back in the day) we had x4 and it was still hard to get our levels up but it wasn't as realistic as we'd have liked it to be. I believe 2x would suffice for fast enough leveling but bringing forward the realistic RuneScape feel.

This is really down to how fast we can work and depending on if the DDoSers have stopped or not. It was a pretty huge attack, one I haven't seen like in my life. I've been a programmer for 4~ years now and I haven't seen a botnet hit a server as hard as that, especially with it resulting in our first host removing us from their services and then it breaking through the DDoS protection.

Ryan, Kevin and Frell have all been working round the clock to ensure this is done efficiently and we've all been using all of the contacts we have to get to this point, we just have to push a little further. Hang tight!

They are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused to the players. Ryan, Kevin, Frell, JT, and Bill are working tirelessly following solid leads and implementing security to stop attacks such as this in the future. They are doing everything they can and there's still plenty they can do :). I'm glad it's currently being fixed so that we can hopefully enjoy RuneRebels as it was intended soon!

Suggestions, Compliments, And Questions / Re: Missing Content Section
« on: January 22, 2013, 08:57:09 pm »
Ahh, thank you for the feedback guys, I certainly would not want to impose on the team or imply they didn't know what they were doing. Just wanted to offer a way to have some extra eyes looking for content so they wouldn't have to spend to much time with it themselves.

Sorry if this idea came off as something else.
Not at all! It would be a useful board if our developers were struggling for input of what was needed, you had no reason to believe they knew the era as well as they do! Without suggestions we can't grow and build ourselves up to the community we wish to have, if you have a suggestion don't hesitate to post it!

I believe a thread would more than suffice towards this as our development team and everyone affiliated with them has extensive knowledge of the era we are recreating. It would be a waste of a board as I see it, our forums need to stay clean and tidy to appear professional. A missing content board could also make our development team look like they don't know what they're doing. I believe the current boards cover enough of the area to host a thread dedicated to this.

Suggestions, Compliments, And Questions / Re: Email/Accounts
« on: January 20, 2013, 07:31:55 am »
If you forget your password or someone steals it, you can get it back easily, unlike on something like projectrs06 where you could put any email in, and there is no verifying to make sure you email is even going anywhere. It's also security against bots as well. This will not be changed in the future.
As that mod states, there's no need for the multiple creation of different email accounts. There appears to be a master account with a limit on their sub-accounts. If they only have one master account they'll also only have one password. The only issue is that you'll only have one password for several accounts, so if one password is compromised all of your accounts are at risk, that could be modified though.

The function is there for a reason, the changes needed to allow multiple accounts on a single email is a lot and wouldn't be worth the time to do it.

EDIT:
After doing a little more searching I may have found a mod that could prove useful for what you're requesting.

http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=2264
That would somewhat help on the web side of it and it would remove the several registrations, everything on that side would then be done through Java.

That's mainly an SMF issue as opposed to an option for us to change, you can toggle the SMF option to require email verification but that's then going to enable a lot more bots visiting the forums and will be more spam bots being active making the forums untidier. Our other option is to add an "Accounts" tab to your profile where you can enable different accounts from the one master account which would be this one. That would also mean highly editing the forum core and would stop us from installing other modifications and themes to it. That's going to be a lot of work server and web sided. I think it's better to just leave it as is if I'm honest.

I understand where you're coming from and I realise that it isn't exactly ideal but it doesn't out-weigh the issues it would cause.
