I would hate to see what I saw on Proj. It wasn't anything nice. I hope their trash doesn't come here and turn this game into trash...

I think this is a hard decision to make, once, or if, you receive the data base. As long as we are NOT talking about their items, but only their levels. Maybe a small amount of cash to buy the obviously needed tools... ie... hammer, chisel, whatever, so on...
I do feel for those that truly worked for their levels, they obviously want the merge. And, I understand why they would want this.
Then there are those that did nothing but bot to earn their levels. Since there is no proof they where bots, and it's highly unlikely they will admit to it, to condemn those that didn't because of those that did, I think is wrong.
I think this is a hard decision to make. I think I'm inclined to agree to it, as long as we're talking levels.

While I don't think lying is good anytime, because it can lower your integrity, and honor, I am glad you where lying about Frell. I do remember the name, but not anything about him, so my opinion is based on, you don't get rid of someone, just to please another. That would be wrong.
Also, my opinion, I believe if people from Proj want to play here, they should start over. How many of us came from other games that shut down, yet we started from scratch.
While I only played on Proj for a few hours, I was not impressed at all with the members I encountered. Rolling around in road-kill would have been much nicer and less disgusting. And the bots, that was totally out of hand. Bringing over their member data base would be bringing over their trash, along with the bots.

I also think there should be a bank upstairs in Lumby castle. Regardless whether or not RS 06 had one. If I'm not mistaken, sometime in 06 is when they added it, but they did have one by 07.
So I'm in favor of having one, if not for any other reason then to help out the new members.

Get well Ryan! Take LOTS of vitamin D, and make sure it's organic, not made in China. LOTS, and include vitamin C.
Also, no matter what your doctors say, don't allow them to give you morphine for more then a couple days. It's an extremely dangerous drug!
And, don't worry about us. We have enough on the game to keep us busy, so get well.

« on: February 23, 2013, 09:31:40 pm »Better hope the wrong crowd doesn't migrate here. There were dozens of trolls that made the forum and in game experience miserable at times on the other server. That's one of the benefits you have had starting with a smaller player base. It's unfortunate that the immaturity of a few could be their ultimate downfall, and I hope the same demise is not going to duplicate here.
I also hope this. I played for a little while, but the players where just horrible. This one is great, and so are the people.

I have my auto retaliate on, but when we had the big dc the other day, I had around 5 or 6 fish in my inventory. Once I was able to log on, I had a full load. Which means, I was still on and I could have been attacked by the evil chicken. 
I'm not sure there is a code that can be added that when the game goes down, we log out immediately.

I've been running a forum for over 13 years. And while I do have an Assistant (mod, if you will), we have never, not once, had a problem with our members stepping up to the plate, and helping us out. Even if that means, gently, explaining the rules.
I guess I'm having problems understanding why anyone would be offended, or bothered, by a non-staff member explaining things...?

I like this server. I like the staff, I like the mods, I like the players. I'm staying, as long as the owners continue to have interest in their game, and keep it up and running.

Also at 750K the free portion of runescape is open without members only so you can make a account without membership . Comment telling me if you think you get free member ship and if so why would they have the servers running for free and no one paying that wouldn't help them at all.
Hummm... I never did get the impression that 07 was going to be free - as in ftp. After the first month, from what I read, you will have to maintain a membership to play 07, and there will be no further charges if they receive 500k votes.
If people are under the impression that there is a chance this will be ftp, they are mistaken. Also, how many players signed up to vote x $5.00+ ? Jagex made a lot of money just having the poll, smiling all the way to the bank.
Jagex knows exactly how to play on words, so people really need to educate themselves so they won't be deceived. And they can make informed choices.

Of course this is my opinion, because there is no way to prove it without a doubt, but you are absolutely correct!
They so cheated when they did the poll for bringing back the wild and free trade. The no's had it by a land slide. And right in the middle they changed it. Not to mention their rules that anyone could log in under any name and vote as many times as they wanted...
So yes, they have already decided what they will do regardless what the poll outcome is. Jagex owners are not trustworthy.

« on: February 22, 2013, 08:37:04 am »Alright, first off I was absent from the last server downtime, the whole time. But anyways, for what it's worth, fixing a server error in the time it took this last time was phenomenal. Sure a lot of players have focus to this game, but what about the other games they own? Surely they don't JUST play Rune Rebels. That's like switching to just eating fish sticks. But anyways, stellar job in quickly fixing mistakes. It would have taken Microsoft at least a day just to fix one of their own mistakes. On a program, not the OS.

You lost me? I have no idea what you mean? First off, I don't play any other online games. And as far as Microsoft is concerned, when they put out their monthly updates, most of those are updates that should have been put out over a year ago. They do nothing in a day...
