Title: Old Type of Forums?

Hey guys, I just joined recently and was wondering if this site will be switching to the old forums like they were in 2006 or no?

There's been a topic like this already. The admins' response was something like... they can't do this for some sort of reason, perhaps copyright or something, but if anyone wants to post any SMF themes that would look like the old RS forum or something unique and cool then they should post it.

Thanks for the reply. And yeah probably because of copyright reasons. It was be easy for Jagex to get a DMCA against the old type of forums.

Exactly. We like not being sued :D So we're just going to do the site our way! :p

The site as it is now is not perm. we know its kind of ugly :D

Its not that bad, it is just that the color scheme and layout does not seem to inviting lol. Maybe it is just that we do not have a huge community yet. But it is possible for someone to make a forum the layout like the Old Forums but with a different color scheme and images. It would take time and probably the Dev would want money.

If someone can get me and some other GFX people what the old forums looked like we might be able to edit it where there will no need for a lawsuit. Just a suggestion  :P

I found something with all the old 2006 forum of well everything if an admin wants to see it PM me.

We have the full site/forum of RuneScape 2006. It isn't used and more than likely will not be used.

in each picture on the  runescape forums put something a little different like make the butcher have no knife or something like that and change the lettering and it wont be copyright... boom you have the old runescape forums kinda lol
