Can scan the room around you, giving the game a sense of detail to your surroundings and change gameplay.
Now has a touchpad, to where you can do more things with the game.

Communication with friends and the internet has been expanded GREATLY. For example:-Anybody can now Spectate gameplay
-With permission, people can be allowed to give advice during your gameplay
-With permission, people can no take over your controller, to help you beat a part of the game
-Friends can now give you items from their game/characters, to help you with your game (this includes single players. For example, if you were playing Skyrim, you could send an item to your friend (like a Daedric sword) to help him with his game)
No Waiting to download games. For example:
-You can now play games while downloading( this works by downloading a small portion of the game within seconds and it downloads as you play.)
-You can now play games and download at the same time
-You can now download games WHILE THE PS4 IS OFF.
PS4 turns on INSTANTANIOUSLY and continues right at the point you left off in a game.
Video is CONSTANTLY being recorded. For example:
-The last 15 minutes of gameplay are always there ready for upload to youtube.
-Can edit videos in seconds
-The "share" button allows people to spectate you and/or give advice if allowed
EVERY game is available for playing for a certain period of time
-Can play games with your friends if you wanted to try out a game
-No more saying "i don't have that game, sorry i can't play"
